Moratalla is inland Murcia. It is one hour twenty minutes from San Javier airport and the coast, and one hour and half from Alicante airport.
Moratalla is a typical Spanish town consisting of approximately 8000 people, mostly Spanish. It has everything from 3 supermarkets to swimming pools and bars. The town is well known for its many fiestas. The scenery surrounding Moratalla is magnificent and can be seen from the Castle. The house also has these views because it is just around the corner from the castle. The Spanish neighbours are very friendly and helpful. Free Spanish lesions are organised by the town hall and take place in the local music school. Access to the house is good and there is an option of renting a garage from the neighbours. Just a year ago we had a new wood burner and new wooden windows fitted. The dιcor is good throughout and is distributed as follow:
